A UK flooring retailer with 2,000+ SKUs had outgrown a standard e-commerce platform — the complex filters (material, thickness, pack coverage), separate retail and trade pricing, and bulk orders needed logic WooCommerce could not cover without heavy compromise.
They needed a custom platform with its own admin system, built around that catalogue and that kind of customer.
The solution
flooringsuppliescentre.co.uk is a custom-built e-commerce platform for a UK flooring supplier. The site is written in PHP, MySQL with its own admin system — not WooCommerce — to support a complex catalogue of 2,000+ SKUs, specialised filters (material, thickness, colour, pack coverage) and trade pricing for registered business customers.
Cart and checkout are tuned for fast completion of large orders. Shipping is calculated by volume and weight through integration with UK courier systems. The site has separate retail and trade price tiers and supports quote requests for bulk orders.
